The Inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama, our nation's 44th president, took place on the steps of the nation's Capitol in Washington DC on January 20, 2009. The crowd was estimated at up to 2 million people. The authors of this book were in DC, and viewed the ceremony from the nearby Newseum, a District of Columbia museum dedicated to news and journalism, with a focus on the First Amendment and the importance of a free press.
